Collage FAQ

1.

I have applied a Collage natural and 18 volume developer on a client with a high percentage of grey and the result is not as expected. Why is it translucent, iridescent or too cool / ash?

It is not suggested to use the Natural Series independently. For a richer customized result, it is recommended to incorporate a Target Shade into your selected Natural Shade.

2.

Can you explain when I should use each Natural Series?

When should I use Collage /06?

/06 should be used when the desired result is warm neutral and the starting canvas has 75% - 100% grey present.

When should I use Collage /00?

/00 should be used when the desired result is cool neutral and the starting canvas has below 50% grey present.

When should I use Collage _ _/00?

_ _/00 should be used when the starting canvas is resistant and has 75% - 100% grey present.

3.

How much natural should I incorporate into my formula?

If the starting canvas has below 25% grey you can use your selected target shade without Natural incorporated into your formula.

If the starting canvas has 25% - 50% grey it is recommended to use 25% Natural Shade - 75% Target Shade.

If the starting canvas has 50% - 100% grey it is recommended to use 50% Natural Shade - 50% Target Shade.

4.

How do I formulate for a client that is 100% grey, very resistant and wants to be a natural looking level 6?

Use equal parts of 66/00 and a selected Target Shade.

EXAMPLE: 20g 66/00 + 20g 6/60 + 60g 18 volume developer
