Aloe vera originates from North Africa and has been introduced onto plantations in the Antilles and warmer regions of the south of the United States. It contains water, mineral elements, aloesine, amino acids and polysaccharides.
The curative properties of aloe, used in the treatment of burns, wounds and skin lesions caused by solar radiation, have been recognized since ancient times. Aloe has emollient, moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties, and is used in the treatment of dry, irritated skin with rashes.
Every day more and more men and women suffer from irritation of the scalp. The percentage of people with allergies and sensitive skins is growing every year. While the excessive use of aggressive shampoos is the main cause in men, chemical treatments (changes of color, bleaching, perms and so on) cause the most damage to women’s hair. The chlorine in swimming pools, excessive heat from hair dryers, stress, poor diet, air-conditioning and pollution also contribute to this irritation.
All these phenomena mount up and provoke changes that irritate and disturb the scalp. The results are symptoms such as dryness, rashes and soreness, i.e., a permanent sensation of discomfort. To solve the problem it is necessary to re-establish the natural balance in the scalp, restore it to its optimum levels of hydration, bacterial flora and physiological pH and repair the hydrolipidic film.
The K.THERAPY SENSITIVE product line incorporates a combination of restoring agents that provide immediate relief for the scalp; they reconstitute the skin’s protective film and the sensation of discomfort disappears. One of these agents is aloe vera.
